Former UFC light heavyweight contender Anthony Lionheart Smith has ended his retirement less than a year after his emotional farewell at UFC Kansas City. Smith will compete in Jorge Masvidals Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA heavyweight tournament, facing fellow UFC veteran Chase Sherman in the opening round on April 10, 2026. The 16-man tournament features a 500,000 dollar prize pool. Smith revealed that Masvidal had first approached him about signing to the promotion back in 2022, before he re-signed with the UFC.
